This eye cream seems to be as popular as the Hydroplane Shaving Cream. We certainly don’t blame you here at ShopLOLEX. I use Billy Jealousy Wipeout Eye Cream on a semi-regular basis myself (not as often as I should though).
The great thing about the eye cream, like all Billy Jealousy products is that a little goes a long way. All you need to use is 1/2 the size of a pea. Also, it’s scent-free. Just remember to dab the cream around you eyes, do not pull the skin, that actually can cause wrinkles.
The best thing about the eye cream is that you don’t need a seperate eye gel to reduce puffiness. The lactic acid does it already. Use it once or twice a day, and see a major difference in no time. Trust me, you will get hooked. Until next week.

I know I’ve skipped a few weeks for no apparent reason other than being a bit busier usual. So this week we move on from one of my favorite shaving creams to the pre-shave that goes with it. Billy Jealousy Hot Towel Pre-Shave Treatment is a men’s pre-shave that must be used only with Billy jealousy Hydroplane Shave Cream, you cannot use it with any other shaving cream because it won’t work effectively.
That being said, it’s not a neccessary item to have but more of an added bonus. If you have a beard or rough, hard to shave skin then a pre shave is more of a neccessity since it’ll soften your hair and face for a closer, smoother, and easier to shave face. However, if you have normal skin a pre shave is not neccessary but can be beneficial. You skin will be smoother and softer, without nicks, cuts or razor burn. It only adds about an extra 30 seconds to your routine. You put it on and wait 30 seconds for it to work and then put the shaving cream over it (do not rinse off). That’s it.
My recommendation is that you should try it and decide for yourself if a pre shave is something you want to add to your skin care regiment. I definetely recommend a pre shave if you have a beard since that is what they are originally meant for. A pre shave is meant for guys with less sensitive skin so be careful if you’re prone to breakouts.
I would love to hear other pre shave opinions and suggestions, have a good week.

Hi everyone, I took 2 weeks off for no apparent reason but here I am back in the saddle. I figured I would start with the best and most popular product Billy Jealousy offers: Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Shave Cream. This is one of the best (if not the best) all around shaving creams available. This shave cream is perfect for all skin types, no matter how rough and tough your face is.
I use this one on a regular basis and most people who try it once become die hard users. That’s probably why Billy Jealousy makes an industrial size. One thing to note, I still recommend a shave gel if you have very oily skin because they are made specifically for that skin type. You would be fine using Hydroplane for oily skin with no problems but I think you are better off using products specifically focused on a certain skin type if that’s a concern for you.
What more can I say other than everyone who tries it says it’s the best shaving cream around. Try it and see for yourself. Hope everyone has a good week. Until next week.

This week we move on to Billy Jealousy. Overall, this is another excellent high end men’s skin care, grooming and shaving line. They have numerous products and seem to always be adding additional products as well as different sizes of their existing products. Right now, ShopLOLEX only carries the men’s skin care and shaving products of all the men’s brands that we carry. We are planning on adding more brands and their perspective skin care and shaving products. Once we have a sufficient number of brands we will start adding the body care and hair care products as well as other brands. I like to think of it as a micro-nitch. I’ve seen so many online shops that are all over the place and figured we would start small and go up (we’ve got no where else to go but up). We, of course, appreciate all the support we have received through this blog and our website.
But I digress. In the next few weeks, I’ll be reviewing all the Billy Jealousy products that we offer. The majority are excellent for all skin types while a few are very skin type specific (I had to find other guinnea pigs other than myself, my brother, brother-in-law, and a few friends who volunteered with promises of free stuff).
In other random news, we redid our facebook page. We will be offering exclusive discounts for all who become fans. Until next week.

Hello all, last week I reviewed Nickel Fire Insurance After Shave Cream and mentioned the my one buddy that was the actual reviewer for that product was also going to do Nickel Super Clean Face Scrubbing Gel too. However, since I use face scrub on a regular basis and like to try different ones out, I figured we would both put in our fifty cents.
Like I said, I use a gentle face scrub & cleanser combination on a daily basis and a regular face scrub 2-3 times per week. This may be excessive to some people and if you are prone to breakouts, do not use scrub at all. I can honestly say that once you start using any type of scrub and feel the difference (and see) on your face, you’ll be hooked and probably go overboard like me (although my skin feels great!). This Nickel scrub is a daily cleansing and scrubbing gel, which means that this is a facial cleanser and mild scrub combined that is gentle enough to be used daily.
To really feel the effects of the actual scrub part you need to press harder on you skin when using it, according to the directions. My thoughts–this is a great daily scrub to use before shaving to get the extra close shave. Its a bit more intense than other daily scrubs I have used and you feel the difference afterwards. My face felt very very clean and a bit smoother than normal. I will continue using this for a while until I find a better one.
As for my friend, of coarse he liked it but he’s never used scrub before so he’d probably like anything. I’m beginning to think that he is not the best choice for tester since he has virtually no experience with high end men’s skin care and grooming products. However, on the plus side, he’s a believer now after trying out a few items.
All in all, this is a great daily deep cleanser and face scrub to use before shaving (as with all scrubs). You do not need to use a regular scrub 2-3 times per week along with this if you don’t feel you need to but it doesn’t hurt. My advice is that if you choose to go this route, use it in the morning and your regular cleanser at night. You do not need to use this twice per day unless you really want to (I don’t).
See you next week when we start on the Billy Jealousy line and my personal favorite.

I did not mean to take so long off. I was actually going to write this review last week but like the rest of the country I got hooked watching the inauguration, although I missed the actual swearing in. This week I’m starting back with our reviews of the products ShopLOLEX offers. Like I mentioned in my previous entries, Nickel Men’s Skin Care Line has an almost cult-like following. As well it should because all their products are top notch based on most people’s experiences.
I was not the actual tester for this week’s product, Nickel Fire Insurance After Shave Cream. A buddy of mine volunteered himself after promises of free products. He is one of the lucky ones with normal skin so he could basically use anything. One thing to note, although the products says cream, it’s actually a light gel. This after shave has glycerine and allantoin, which help with oilier skin while providing a moisturizing treatment after shaving. It also has corn oil for providing a calming action to any cuts and razor burns.
My buddy did like this after shave alot and in fact took 2 boxes with him, so obviously he plans to use it for some time. He told me he definitely liked the way his skin felt after as opposed to other brands he has used before, both drug store and some high end. The most important thing about after shave is not having alcohol in it, which dries out your skin and stings your cuts and burns.
He recommended the product highly and in fact took a few other Nickel items with him to try (next time he pays). I feel that this after shave is a great deal as are all the other Nickel prosucts. Although a $30 after shave seems high when comparred to a $5 bottle at Walmart, we all know that when it comes to grooming products especially, you really do get what you pay for.
In my opinion, this is a great all around after shave that is perfect for all skin types. If you’re already using other Nickel products, you might as well add this one to your collection. Hope everyone has a great week. See you next tues.

Happy Holidays from ShopLOLEX!
All of us here at ShopLOLEX would like to wish everyone happy holidays and happy new year! I know I have not posted in some time but a few weeks ago I had the flu and was out of commission for some time and have been playing catch up since then. We have plans to be adding new brands in the beginning of next year and have been busy testing out new products. I plan on getting back to the regular product reviews next week. I hope everyone has a great holiday and weekend.

Hello all, this week we’re on to Nickel Morning After Rescue Gel, a facial moisturizer gel. Nickel is an extremely popular brand and has many followers. It is based in France and I believe may have been one of the first in men’s skin care among a few others. What I mean by this is in the past few there have been many brands, great and not so great, that have come around, while Nickel has been around long before it was “popular” to care about your skin.
I wasn’t sure about this products because I didn’t quite understand what it was for. From the description, it appears that you use this once in a while, as needed when you’ve been out late and look like crap the next day. However, this is a moisturizing gel so it is actually meant to be used everyday as your facial moisturizer. So I decided to try it. I’m not used to a gel-style moisturizer which is why I wanted to be the one to test this out (live on the wild side). It felt cool and wet on my skin and my skin immediately felt smoother, a bit tighter and I actually felt a bit more awake. This may have to do with the caffeine in it. There is also unroasted coffee for that tightening effect. Also, this gel prevents undereye circles and bags, but I can’t really comment on that since I don’t burn the midnight oil as much anymore so I don’t get bags too often. However, I should mention that you should still use your eye cream even though this moisturizer helps with your eye bags.
This is one of Nickel’s most popular items and also the first item we sold here at ShopLOLEX. It is a little more expensive than some other moisturizers available but all of Nickel’s products are a bit pricey and are completely worth every penny because they are very effective. Their products actually do exactly what they say they’re going to do, which is rare for most grooming products.
All in all, a great Nickel product that is to be used everyday, no matter how confusing the description is. Different than alot of the face moisturizers in that it’s a gel but you need to use very little for it to do the job. Try it, you’ll like it.

Hello to everyone on this historic day! I voted early so I wouldn’t have to stand in a long line today but still stood in a long line anyway. This week I’ll be reviewing Nickel Smooth Operator Shaving Gel. This claims to be the first shaving gel created for all skin types, not just oily. Like I have mentioned in earlier posts, my skin is on the drier side and my guinea pig/brother-in-law’s is very oily, so we both decided to try it to see if that’s true. Of coarse he loved it because it is a gel which no matter what the packaging says is still specifically made for oily skin ,so he highly approved and even took the can with him afterward (didn’t pay for it though). Unlike inferior drugstore brands (you know you’ve used them), you only need a marble size amount and it turns into a foam on wet skin. This is different than alot of non-lathering/non-foaming shaving creams that we offer. Foaming or non-foaming and lathering or non-lathering is a personal preferance. It doesn’t matter to me.
The price is great! $15 for a 4.3 oz. Very comparable to same size of other more expensive shaving products. I have to admit that I really like it. It does a great job, no razor drag or tightness afterwards which is always a good sign. Even though it’s a gel for all skin types and it proved to me so, I still feel that gels are for oily skin and should be used by men with oilier skin. But some people prefer a gel to a cream no matter what their skin type is and this is perfect for them since this is a gel formulated for all skin types.
All in all, a great Nickel product that I highly recommend for all skin types especially if you prefer a foaming, lathering shave gel. However, even though I really liked this shave gel, I still feel that it’s more for oily skin and should be used as such. Bottom line-this is the perfect shave gel for oily skin but can be used by all skin types who prefer a gel instead of a cream.

Skin Care Conservation
Hello all, hope everyone’s having a good week. I know I’m supposed to start on the Nickel skin care product reviews, but this week I want to write about something different that has been on my mind (and everyone else’s too). With the economy on a major downturn, everyone is conserving any way they can (Walmart is my new best friend and you gotta love the free samples at Sam’s Club) and that includes their grooming products. You may be tempted to save some money and switch (temporarily) to cheaper drugstore brands, but please don’t. I know that alot of products sold here are a bit pricier but they really are better for your skin in the short and long run. Also, you don’t need to use as much of the product so most will last 2-4 months. With the lower-end brands, you need to use more and therefore buy more frequently (which may end up costing you the same or really close). More importantly, these inferior products contain inferior ingredients such as alcohol, which can cause damage to your skin such as excessive dryness and breakouts.
Here’s a few tips to conserve the great products you already own. These tips should only be a temporary measure to your daily routine and will not affect you skin in any way.
- Use your scrub once per week instead of the recommended 2-3 times.
- Use your face wash at night only, your shaving cream or shave gel can cleanse your face adequately.
- Use your moisturizer at night only (unless it’s a SPF moisturizer, then always use it during the day, no exceptions), your after shave can moisturize your face adequately.
- Don’t use your anti-aging serum everyday, every other day or so is fine temporarily.
Let me point out again that these measures should only be temporary changes to your routine. You do need to use these products the recommended amount of time to reap the full benefit to your skin. Always read the directions and use the proper amount, which is usually very small (dime sized for most products). If a product doesn’t last as long as it claims to, then it’s usually because you have used too much each time.
You can compromise on many things, but your skin shouldn’t have to be one of them. There is no reason to subject your skin to the harsh ingredients found in lower-end brands. It will do your skin more harm then your wallet good.
Hope everyone has a good rest of week and an even better weekend. I’m off to vote early (you can in Nevada). Next week, back to Nickel.
PS-if anyone has any other tips, please post them
